Comparative analysis of Binaural Rendering and Physical 7.1.4 Immersive Audio
This project investigates the differences in human ear perception of immersive audio between 7.1.4 and binaural playback systems. The study was conducted through listening tests and questionnaires to gather subjective feedback on the auditory experience provided by these two systems. This project was presented at the "Harmonising progress - Research in Music Production & Technology" Student symposium at the University of York. Watch me talk about the findings and data Analysis of the project here.
Design and Implementation of an Interactive Audio Tool for
Illustrating Stereo Imaging in Music Education (The Soundbox)
This project aims to enhance interaction and technology in audio education by developing
an interactive audio tool designed to illustrate the concept of stereo imaging. The tool is
created using Unreal Engine 5, with audio elements implemented through Audiokinetic Wwise.
The primary objective is to offer a practical, engaging method for novices in music
production and audio engineering to understand fundamental audio parameters such as
volume, panning, and the frequency spectrum. Watch me demonstrate how this tool works in a YouTube video here.
